Beginner's Kit
These basic kits are designed to help you get started on the right foot and make your newly found hobby more enjoyable.
Each kit includes information about tapping trees and boiling down your sap to make syrup. Everything that you need to make a little syrup except for the trees, a hammer, and the pot to boil the sap in is included. Please follow the directions in the included manual as to how to tap and cook your sap. If you should have any further questions please call or write us at: comments@andersonsmaplesyrup.com.
The manual will tell you what you need to know about making syrup, while a second Maple Syrup ProducerâÂÂs Manual is also available for more advanced syrup makers. The spouts and sap saks are to collect your sap and the syrup hydrometer and cup are to test your syrup. Use these tools to make sure that your maple syrup is fully cooked (instructions for use are in the manual). Finally, the orlon bag and bag liners are to help you filter out the sediment that will form while you are boiling your syrup.
For more information about how to tap your trees please check out our helpful hints section; a link is at the bottom of this page for your convenience. Some of the key items are listed here as a direct link for ease of use.
I always tell beginners âÂÂIf you can boil water you can make maple syrup, it is that simple.â Please enjoy and keep us posted as to how it's going for you.
